Andrew Jackson Gardens - Mail/Security Building & Little League Field

The first phase of a redevelopment plan for the Hoboken Housing Authority at Andrew Jackson Gardens involved the construction of a new Mail & Security Building. The brick structure was designed to blend in with the surrounding housing. The building had to be constructed approximately 6'-0" above the existing grade, in order to clear the 100-year flood elevation. This allowed for the construction of a walk out basement, which houses an elaborate water retention system.

The City of Hoboken proudly proclaims itself "The Birthplace of Baseball". As such, it was very important to the Hoboken Housing Authority that work also include the construction of a new Little League Field which includes site amenities, such as new bleachers, dug-outs, back-stop and fencing, trees and brick paving around the seating areas at the outfield.
