Mr. Nelson brings to the firm an expansive understanding of design on varying scales with disparate program demands. Working in the design field for over a decade, Mr. Nelson has a deep-rooted interest in the social ramifications of the built environment. A strong background in graphic design and visual arts have served to inform projects ranging in scope from renovations and adaptive reuse of historic buildings to large scale public structures and municipal planning projects.
With Clarke Caton Hintz, Michael has been instrumental in the successful completion of several projects and has served as design lead on a mixed-use transit hub redevelopment in Rahway; a municipal, public safety, and sports facility complex in Yonkers, New York; and proposed parks, recreation and vehicle parking facilities for the New York Yankees Stadium in the Bronx, New York.
