Scenic America is dedicated to fighting visual blight along our highways, which are being inundated with billboards and the clear cutting of trees to increase billboard visibility. Additionally, Scenic America seeks to reduce visual intrusions of our land and our communities. These objectives are an extension of its efforts to protect the visual heritage of the nation and to promote the protection of scenic resources within public lands. Scenic America also promotes context-sensitive transportation solutions for the America’s highways, bridges and rural roads.
