The Secaucus Junction Area Vision Plan was commissioned through a partnership between NJ Transit and the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission. The purpose of the study was to develop a comprehensive vision for the lands within the southern end of Secaucus within a one-mile radius of Secaucus Junction, a new multi-line NJ Transit rail hub, and a new NJ Turnpike exit that is to serve Secaucus Junction. The plan formulates a vision for a future human-scaled, mixed-use village that would capitalize on the new public transportation infrastructure, connect to existing neighborhoods within Secaucus and engage the Hackensack River corridor in a sensitive manner.
