The Newark Broad Street Station Area Vision Plan seeks to redefine an existing transit hub located in northern Newark. Currently, due to perceived safety issues and inadequate design, the Broad Street Station area does not function as a social node for the neighborhood. However, once light rail has been added to the Broad Street Station area by 2005, the station will take on new importance as both a regional and local transportation. This vision plan outlines a concept that will help to make this opportunity a reality.
