While at Gruen Associates’ New York office, Marlyn Zucosky was part of the project team to design a new library for Atlantic City. The new building, located at Tennessee and Atlantic Avenues, has three times the reading space of its predecessor and was designed to serve the community for decades.
Knowing that the facility would be minimally maintained, selection of the interior finishes was critical. A thorough analysis of each material was performed and selections were made based on their beauty, durability and ease of maintenance. Custom reading chairs, tables and reading carols, designed out of solid cherry wood and manufactured by cabinet maker Thomas Moser, were utilized for their long lasting and attractive attributes.
This attention to detail has ensured the success of the Library, which continues to serve the citizens of Atlantic City.
