Creation of a new world headquarters for international clinical research organization

Beginning in 2000, Pharmanet retained the services of Marlyn Zucosky, then a partner in westcott studio, to design their new world headquarters. Housed in three floors at Carnegie Center in Princeton, NJ, the program required an executive area for the CEO and CFO and their support staff as well as a state-of-the art Board Room and lounge area for the senior management team.
Corporate office standards were created for all staff positions. This was accomplished through personnel interviews to determine office functions and furniture needs. These standards were then utilized at all future locations, creating consistency through the firm’s many offices.
A Communications Cafe was designed to enable staff members to tele-conference with all the worldwide offices. It also provided a meeting place, with a relaxed atmosphere, for the staff to collaborate without the need of a conference room.
A separate and independent Training Room and Cafe was provided on the ground floor. This space functions for internal training purposes as well as being available for use by outside consulants.
Following the successful completion of this project, westcott studio designed new offices for all of the Pharmanet’s sites in the United States, Australia, France, India and Argentina.
