Montclair State University is constructing a 6 story pre-cast concrete parking garage at the northeast perimeter of the campus. The parking garage will contain approximately 1100 parking spaces dedicated to upper classman students. It is also located in close proximity to the Yogi Berra Minor League Baseball Stadium. The design team investigated several different orientations and configurations for the parking structure to adjust for the slope of the existing site, major drainage issues and overall site circulation. The Parking Garage will have an architectural presence and responds appropriately to campus architecture, matching the Spanish mission style architecture prevalent throughout the original campus structures.
