Clarke Caton Hintz was originally retained by Mercer County to prepare a historic analysis of the structure and develop alternative reuse plans. CCH was then retained by Kat Man Du, a Philadelphia night club, to design renovations of and additions to the building to turn it into a nightclub. A 1,500 sq. ft. dining room and a 1,050 sq. ft. service wing were added to the building.
